Final Cut Pro X actually works pretty well on the iPad - Video
Obviously FCPX isn’t running directly on the iPad, but it’s running via Splashtop, a remote desktop application for the iPad ($2.99). It was a joking test by Matt at first to see whether it would actually work, but surprisingly running Final Cut Pro X on the iPad actually worked out pretty well, and we’re quite interested in the direction Apple is headed…
Geohot goes from being sued by Sony to working at Facebook -- go figure
When your name gets out there for being the first to release iPhone jailbreak methods, as well as getting in hot water for doing the same to locked down PS3’s then being sued by Sony themselves, you start to get noticed by bigger fish. Geohot, a hacker in the tech and gaming world that won’t soon be forgotten, has apparently landed himself a pretty sweet gig at one of the most prestigious companys anyone could ever dream of working for: Facebook. — Details after the break!
Breakdown of LulzSec and other hackers - Infographic
I was sifting through some emails and came across a message from Gadgets and Gizmos asking us to post their latest infographic. Usually I look over these emails (usually they’re pretty lame), but gave this one a look over and it’s actually pretty cool. The infograph showcases the carnage caused by LulzSec as well as some of the most famous hackers of the computer age, and it also gives you some password hacking times. Very cool and worth the time!

How to turn your MacBook into a WiFi hotspot - Video
When you don’t have a router handy, and you’re stuck with an iPad that’s WiFi only, or you just don’t want to chew through your dataplan on a Smartphone, you can’t really get very far. Usually, your MacBook comes along for the ride to hotels and meetings, and you wire it up to ethernet to browse the web — so why can’t you use your MacBook as a WiFi hotspot? Real life Transformers created from old auto parts
Transformers could be one of the coolest things ever created, but the sad fact is that we will probably never see any real, earth-saving Transformers in our lifetime. If I could own a car that transformed into a robot, I would be the coolest person alive — but what if you had the next best thing? What if you spent years to create life-sized transformers out of spare auto parts, and then had them sent to Ripley’s “Believe it or not” museums all over the world? Well, Anchalee Saengtai has in fact created these bots and you just have to get a look at them after the break!
Lulzsec lets Bethesda know they were hacked weeks ago, Bethesda confirms
The hacktivists group known as Lulzsec has seriously been making themselves quite the lengthy resume; hacking big wig companies like Sony, Nintendo, Fox, PBS, the US Senate’s sites, and now Elder Scrolls developer, Bethesda. Giving the sign of triumph, through a recent tweet the group let everyone know, Bethesda included, what had been accomplished and that they’ve had accessed to Brink’s over 200,000 member userbase for weeks now. And all with the developer not even being aware of it. — More after the break!
LulzSec Hacks Black & Berg and turns down $10,000 prize - "we did it for the lulz"
Most men hack stuff because there is a greater cause, a reward or profit, and sometimes for close and personal reasons. Some men even take down entire online empires (Amazon, Paypal, Playstation) to make a point and start a fire. But some men aren’t looking for profit, self-gain or world fame. Some men aren’t looking for anything logical, like money. They can’t be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn… for the lulz.
