Burning stuff with a hacked Blu-ray laser - Video

If anything commands that you “don’t try it at home”, it’s this. A hacked 12X blu-ray burner laser diode powered by a hacked up computer power supply using a home-made LM317 circuit running at 420mA.  from Youtube has really created something special here, and watching him cut through a CD case like butter is just plain crazy!

Engineers playing beer pong, for science - Video

If anything, this technology will one day be implemented in the battlefield, the engine of a space shuttle or in an ASHPD — but for now it’s being used to play beer pong in a college campus. iPhone hack takes over Times Square

So there are many reports saying this is definitely fake as video technology doesn’t work this way, however I got to say, from the standpoint of someone who doesn’t know all the engineering behind video and whatnot, it’s a really great looking fake.

Hands-On with "OS7" - Windows Phone 7 Theme for iPhone

As you can imagine, we love playing around with our iPhones just as much as the next guy. But when it comes to Jailbroken Winterboard themes however, we usually like to keep our devices as far away as possible. That is until a certain editor was able to develop a not too shabby and overall, decent Windows Phone 7 skin, which we just had to try out. The officially dubbed “OS7” skin is only in beta but we’re going to run you through how it works and what it needs to improve. — More after the break!
