Video: Joojoo Tablet hands on - CrunchPad in disguise

I know what you are all thinking, this will never live up to the, now dead, CrunchPad or the presumed Apple Tablet, or the up-coming Microsoft Courier. This is a "new" tablet made by Fusion garage (yes , its those guys who kicked TechCrunch off the CrunchPad project). It sports a high contrast, simple, fast user interface and it is one of the cleanest we have seen. Engadget had a lucky chance to see the Joojoo in action, and this thing is ready to tickle tummies and bring smiles, for those of us who are over the fact of the TechCrunch backstabbing. Video after the break.

Mac Pro to Get 6-Core Xeon Gulftown Processor in 2010?

PCLab prematurely leaked performance numbers on Intel's upcoming Xeon Gulftown (Core i9). Some specs include the CPU being 50% faster. According to their sources, Apple is planing on using the Gulftown processor in a future Mac Pro due out early 2010. If mixed liked a dual-processor configuration, the Mac Pro would have 12 physical and 24 logical cores.

This has been suspected for a while now because of the new iMac. Benchmarks have shown that the performance of these high end iMacs rival that of the entry level Mac Pros that cost considerably more. Including the Gulftown would reestablish a larger performance gap between the consumer and professional desktop computers for Apple.

Gadget Review: GoPro Hero HD Camera

If you have ever watched shows like the Office or The Hills, most shots in the car are used with little cameras like this one or even this camera specifically.

The device is easily my favorite sport, live action, beat the crap out of camera. It's not only cheap, strong, with amazing attachments for cars, bikes, boards, helmets, jet skis, everything! The new HD version shoots 60FPS and it makes me love it even more.

Windows New Black Screen of Death!

It's not as bad as it sounds but is much like the old "Blue Screen of Death".  Over the last week it is reported that many Windows users(not just Windows users) have been hit with a plain black screen that appears upon login which locks up the system. That's it though, no other problems besides that so i guess just do the normal thing and press and hold the power button to re-boot. According to a Microsoft email that's making the rounds, the company is "investigating reports that its latest release of security updates is resulting in system issues for some customers." According to Prevx, a UK developer of anti-malware software, a recent Windows patch changed Access Control List entries that prevents some programs to run properly thus causing the "Black Screen of Death". Thanks to Engadget.com we have a nice picture showing us how bad ass the problem is. According to Prevx, they have put together a fix but, they are very unknown and we ourselves can't promise and success or security. Hopefully Microsoft fixes the problem soon.
