The Robots are mobilizing, we're done for - Video
This is a robot called MABEL who is designed to prove that real, bipedal robots are possible using artificial tendons, muscles and fluid, loose joints (much like a human). Without relying on stiff motors to walk, MABEL has the ability to run with the help of a stabilizing system — but soon enough, MABEL will break free and by then it would be too late…
DARPA creates a Mach 20 plane - Fastest ever created
When you think about it, at Mach 1 you are flying at the speed of sound, and if you keep going, you’d be able to see a bullet fired from a gun fly along side you and the actual sound of the gun left in the weeds. There are fighter jets that can travel a few times faster than the speed of sound, but we still hope one day we’d be traveling at the speed of light — and we’ve gotten a bit closer — Mach 20 (20 tiems the speed of sound).

A robot that can learn, think and act by itself (video) - Brought to you by Skynet™
Well, this is another step in robots becoming self aware (yadda yadda yadda) killing us (blah blah blah blah) robot apocalypse (blah blah blah!!!) — You’ve heard it all before but now we’re seeing it. This is the end of life as we know it… first pouring water and making tea… next it’s bringing a city to it’s knees…

TED: A robotic bird that flies like the real thing - Video
If anything, this proves how amazing, complicated and inspiring things can be so simple. This is the Festo SmartBird which acts like a real bird and flies like a real bird using natures mechanics and surprising accuracy. If we have anything to say after watching the video, it’s this — shut up and take our money.

Robot mouth is back from your nightmares to sing "Kagome Kagome"
When it boils down to it, no machine is really going to capture that vocal “human essence” when trying to replicate a song. Traditionally, synthisized voices are produced with software, but not this voice — this robot uses the basic mechanics of the human mouth to sing songs. Sorry you had to hear this.

This wristband controls your hands for you - Video
Possible uses: Rapid fire while playing Call of Duty, Macros for your hand while playing MMOs, never having to learn sign language, never having to remap your controls, speech to typing, play on your piano at home, download shadow puppets — We’re really excited for this… no, seriously.

Happy Birthday Nikola Tesla! - Thanks for giving us AC current, Lasers, Cellular tech and more!
Nikola Tesla was the father of AC current and the deciple of Thomas Edison. Tesla was born on this day in 1856 and after his move to America, he met Thomas Edison (who was a complete dick) and forced him into competition. Throughout the years, Tesla has given us — AC Current, Lasers, X-Rays, Cellular Communication, Neon Lights and Remote Controls. Thank you Nikola Tesla!
