Blackberry Playbook compared to the iPad - by Blackberry
As you can see, the Playbook totally destroys the iPad in every aspect of the web — but in Blackberry’s eyes, the web is about “performance” and not “usability + performance”. If you think hard about what a tablet means to most consumers, battery-life seems to be a number one priority, and the iPad has some sort of limitations put on performance in the name of battery life. Sure the Playbook seems to have more horsepower, but what is the battery like in the real world? — Plus, we really want to play with one (they look so cool!) before we make judgements.
BlackBerry PlayBook Makes Cameo in Black Eyed Peas Music Video
Yep this is the new “The Time (Dirty Bit)” music video from The Black Eyed Peas and at around 3:17, the BlackBerry PlayBook makes a cameo. Just to show how you can have a good time while using the PlayBook at a party. Try telling us the PlayBook is business oriented again. Yeah right. Full video after the break!

T3ch H3lp Rewind - People using the iPad for the first time
This was a video I made back when the iPad launched and it was a way for me to show everyone what people think the very first time they use the iPad. It’s not a review as much as a look into what other people think about the iPad and what you might experience when you try it. Also, read our review!

Galaxy Tab Software Demo - Too similar to the iPad?
Watching this video, I was starting to really dig the vibe of what Samsung is going for — a very simple, straight forward tablet that is very much like the iPad, but also gives you relief on the go. It features a pretty snappy OS and seems to load apps almost instantaneously but it seems to borrow a lot from the iPad.
The most noticeable thing is the keyboard — it is an almost spitting image of the iPad’s and features almost the exact same colors. Another thing is the Books app, the shelves, turning pages and basic layout looks the same and this bugs me a bit, but if the Galaxy Tab is a good all ‘round device at launch, that’s all that matters.
How do you feel about the Tab and the iPad similarities?

Blackberry Playbook hands on Demo - Video
I have to say, this Playbook looks like quite the device and the UI seems to be quite surprising for a number of reasons — it is really responsive, the animations seem to be smooth and the browsing seems to be usable. This is, from our knowlege, the first real iPad compeditor and time will tell if the Playbook can topple Apple’s throne.
Note: The video has a very low framerate, the Playbook just seems jittery.
HP Slate Commercial shows just how Crappy it is
The HP slate is junk — and I can’t deny that. I have tried to see the good in it, like a full OS and desktop class applications — but that kind of software does not work on a device designed for fingers. You can’t simply put Windows 7 on a tablet and expect it to work, you need to, first off, get rid of the cursor. Nobody is going to be using a mouse on the HP slate, so why haven’t they gotten rid of the cursor. This is truly a half-assed try at a tablet, and I don’t see anyone else jumping for joy — except people who don’t understand that pens are made for paper.
HP Slate Get's Official at $799
The HP Slate that we thought had been killed months ago is now official. Apparently the murderer was wrongfully accused and HP Slate cleverly hid in HP’s labs living off of canned spam. Just kidding. But the HP Slate has finally gone official and will cost $799 - 200 bones more than the iPad. Read on for more details and a video of the enterprise tablet!
