Official Twitter for Android app goes live, impresses the world once over

You even get the ability to see your friends’ latest tweets whilst inside your contact list and Google Talk app. And from the looks of things, it appears that Twitter’s worked quite closely with Google, contributing several API’s for Android’s already open sourced future. According to Chris Ziegler of Engadget you’ll currently need an Android 2.1 device to use it, but as he said “that’s just an excuse to run out and upgrade to a sweet new phone, right?”
