Skype Working Over 3G?

Not sure how exactly but somehow the FCC is making AT&T allow Voip(Voice Over IP) enabled so that means eventually, Skype over 3G. This basically means i can call my friends on their computers from my cell without paying a cent more than i do now.

AT&T today announced it has taken the steps necessary so that Apple can enable VoIP applications on iPhone to run on AT&T's wireless network. Previously, VoIP applications on iPhone were enabled for Wi-Fi connectivity. For some time, AT&T has offered a variety of other wireless devices that enable VoIP applications on 3G, 2G and Wi-Fi networks. AT&T this afternoon informed Apple Inc. and the FCC of its decision.

AT&T won't be making much money from this but we can all agree this can't be bad for consumers.

Video: Microsoft Multitouch mice are better than Mind control?

Okay, is it just me, or did this just blow my mind! This makes me wonder, why isn't this stuff out yet, and why aren't these guys working for NASA -- nevertheless this is probably the most amazing tech around this month and we should keep a close eye on what Microsoft and their Dev-Team has in store for the future of Mice.

They show about 4 mice in this video, and each one is more amaizing than the other (even if you watch it backwards).

Its nice to see this functionality coming to the good ol' PC and maybe portable devices -- somehow. For the end user, this means you can use Pinch, Zoom, Rotate and maybe use more than two fingers at once. Just think of it as an iPhone touch screen, but you can use it for more stuff, like games and maybe video editing and audio editing!

Now only if we can control the Internet with our minds...

Can you Upgrade to Windows mobile 6.5? - No, No, Maybe?

This is stupid. There is no possible way you can be 100% eligible to upgrade to WM 6.5. Its either, No, No, or Maybe? C'mon Microsoft, this is ridiculous !

Microsoft in good intention has gone and laid the upgrade process out with another handy upgrade guide to avoid any confusion, maybe? ...no!

The short of it is that those with Windows Mobile 5.0 or 6.0 devices are flat out of luck if they're looking to upgrade to 6.5 (although they may be able to upgrade to 6.0 or 6.1), while users of Windows Mobile 6.1 devices (but not those aforementioned users that have just upgraded to 6.1) may be able to upgrade to 6.5 at some as yet unspecified point in the future.

What a big yummy mess of blah for ordinary consumers to interpret -- personally, I would rather them say "You cannot upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5. We are currently working on a way, but it is not possible today."

What are your thoughts? Leave a comment!

CONFIRMED: Bell and Telus are going to sell the iPhone in Canada

Ok, sorry to go all Canadian on you, but Canada has its own AT&T, Rogers and they are not near as bad as AT&crap, but they are worse than Bell, Fido and Telus. Now Canadians are jumping for joy, jumping for COMPETITION -- something that the iPhone has never had. One Carrier, One iPhone -- (AT&T - iPhone) (Rogers - iPhone) now Canada is the first to get - iPhone wars.

I can see it now, Ads, Market ploys and clever Memes. But the truth is, this is a very good thing, and we are hoping to see lower prices, as a result of competition.

It started off with Bell signing a deal with Apple to sell the device starting November.

And then, another Canadian carrier, Telus, now has also confirmed they’ll be bringing the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS to Canada this November.

This means that Rogers Wireless is no longer the exclusive iPhone retailer in Canada -- regardless of which mobile operator you prefer, having more options is always good for the end user. So there is an iGod after all! iPhones for all!

Google Voice Finally Released to Public

Well i finally got the e-mail informing me that i could now sign up for Google Voice. Now many people who don't know what this is, will be excited to hear it's free, has more features than you could ever think of for a phone, and is just simply awesome.

Google Voice is basically a free number you get from google that allows you to have one central number you can give to people. It's amazing because it sends the call to all your different types of phones via; Cell, Home, Work, etc. that you specify. Not only does it help forwarding to where you want it, you can also view all the voice mail you receive from your computer anywhere in the world. Google Voice also provides features such as completely free SMS(text messaging) to all phones right from your computer, call screening, listening in on voice mails as they are being made, and the two biggest features are call recording and personalized voice mail messages.

While you are in a phone call you can simple press 4 and you call is now being recorded and saved to your google voice account so you can listen to an important conversation you had earlier. Personalized voice mail also is huge because you can theoretically have a different voice mail message for everyone of your contacts(if you really want to take the time). This is big so that you can have ones for specific groups such as friends and family vs. clients or job related types.

One last feature is the ability to have you voice mail audio e-mailed or texted to you in text format of what he/she said soon after the caller recorded it.

For a complete list of those features and more check out Google.com/voice
