Squarespace iPhone app Review and Demo

[Video cover image by Brandon Davenport]

The new Squarespace iPhone app is another example of what makes Squarespace great. It works, its feature rich and its fancy looking. Its got a multitude of features to use, like Posting offline and managing multiple Squarespace accounts. In this video, I will show you the ins-and outs of the Squarespace iPhone app based on 2 days of use and 2 days of “wow”.

Pros - The app seamlessly integrates the Squarespace experience into the palm of your hand. Also the look of it will please even the most snotty web designer. The app is feature rich with website stats, offline posting, management tools and photo uploading.

Cons - The app can run slow at times, and can seem unresponsive. This appears not to be an issue on the iPhone 3GS, due to its gain in speed. Also I experienced 1 crash while using it, this is probably due to it being version 1.0 (and there is always room for improvement.)

Microsoft Courier user interface In-Depth

I bet everyone knows about this tablet. Well, except Steve Ballmer but that's not the point. The point is that this thing is way cooler than the Apple tablet for 2 reasons. One, there is nothing either from Apple, or a Fanboy that shows Apple tablet even exists. Two this thing has 2 screens! The news about Microsoft courier has been a bit hazy for some, but now Gizmodo has given us a in-depth look on the features of the Microsoft Courier.

It has the usual stuff like multi-touch gestures and an advanced Browser, but it adds some really neat stuff too! The meat of the interface seems to be the Smart Journal which pulls together all your important content like calendar entries, emails, and to-dos into one unified starting place. It also includes a camera and a multi-button pen for you to whip around clippits' from the web, and paste them in your journal. But we have to remember, this is probably not assembled and working yet so lets all send our Christmas wishes to Mr. Ballmer to get this thing done!

HTC HD2 poses for the camera - Picture gallery

The HTC HD2 is one of the most anticipted phones of the year, along with the Droid and Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 -- but this phone is a little different. It is running HTC's version of Windows Mobile 6.5 which is already known to be one of the best user interfaces in the smartphone world. It looks like a DROID, but it looks alot cleaner. It does not have a real keypad, but the huge screen and quick and responsive UI mean a pleasent user experience and it doesn't look that bad either ;D

Birth to be Streamed Online

This may be taking the word lifestreaming a bit too literally! 23 year old mom to be, known as Lynsee, will be taping her birth, live to the world, via the internet and the blog, Moms Like Me. What are your thoughts on this? It reminds me all too much of Jim Carey's The Truman Show
