A Guide to Cosplay - The Good and Bad

First of all, what is cosplay? Its when you dress up at a convention as one of your favorite characters from a show / movie / game. Since now is the time to be festive and get those works of art in progress I decided now would be a good time for the DO's and DON'Ts of Cosplay. Here's the deal. Hooray! - The Internet Nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize

Admit it, we all take the Internet for granted. Its just here, open, easy and fancy free -- its there when we wake up, when we go to work, and when we are camping for god sakes. Its time to give the Internet a little pat on the back.

The nomination was made after a petition by the Italian version of Wired Magazine, which cited the Internet’s contributions to “dialogue, debate and consensus through communication”. Signatories include the Iranian activist Shirin Ebadi, and organizers say the nomination will make for a legitimate entry.

Unfortunatley, it may be unlikely that the Nobel Committee would choose such an unlikely winner this year.  This year’s choice is likely to be a conservative one.

Let's all cross our fingers and hope for the best!

Manly Tears - Google's Superbowl commercial

We never thought we would see the day a search engine company, and one of the most black and white, yes and no, machine like of the bunch, Google -- all algorithms and text -- could make us shed a tear at work, during a meeting, and make us realize that 99% of what makes up a search engine is not the fancy math, algorithms and research, but it is the long going need for humans looking for answers to be able to find them. Maybe all you need is a browser, screen capture app, and an idea to make one of the best commercials in internet history.
