Move Over Twitter - Google Buzz is Here

A couple of people I know were tweeting yesterday about Google coming up with some sort of status update project in the near future. What I didn't know was that they would announce something so soon. Introducing Google Buzz.

Interesting name.

Let's hope it doesn't become another hype train like Wave, but knowing people - I know they're going to flip out. It's coming out in waves as we speak.

Attention: Windows 7 Release Candidate Beta Expires February 15th

If you're like me and got your hands on the RC build of Windows 7 you've been lamenting this day for a while now. Starting next Monday, February 15th, Windows 7 will begin cycling 2 hour shut downs, which not only will be annoying, but will impair the save feature when working in applications.

Don't get me wrong, I love Windows 7, but it just sucks having to officially buy something that I've been using for almost a year now. Though, I knew about this from the start when I first signed up and you should've too! So what are you going to do now - Go back to XP and Vista? Or will you fork over the cash to run Microsoft's new stylish OS?

Oh, and don't think you can outrun that 2 hour shut down process for long either! Starting June 1st your desktop will be replaced with a "This copy of Windows is not genuine" image, so there's much of a workaround. Just do the right thing and buy a legit copy - I think Microsoft deserves it for finally pulling through and giving us something we can actually work on without complaint.

Breaking: Motorola Droid to recieve Android 2.1 update this week

Its been known for some time now that the conglomerate known as Motorola would be bringing Android 2.1 to the Droid (aka. Milestone). However, it was not known that the company would be releasing the update so soon. Spread through their official Facebook page, Motorola said:

"happy to relay the 2.1 upgrade to Droid will start to roll out this week… will have more information to share on other device upgrades later"

As of yet there is no word on what will be featured in the update or what day it will be released, so Droid owners keep an eye out.

Pants on the Ground - Single

Well I told you that "Pants of the Ground" wouldn't just end on American Idol and I was right. General Larry Platt is now on iTunes and the song is actually quite good with the beat and editing. CHECK OUT HERE

Video: Live Webcast Guy Fail

Its great fun streaming your video live to thousands of un-suspecting viewers, and giving them "tips", but sometimes things can turn for the worse. In this case, this guy decided to start playing his own live stream, while broadcasting, thus producing an infinite loop of noise and turning the entire show into a blood bath. Great work.

Do It Yourself iPad Paper Craft

If the wait for the iPad is just too much to bare then why not make yourself a papercraft to help pass the time? Think of it as a place holder until you get your hands on the real deal.

Being at near identical dimensions as the device itself, fool your friends by taking a photos of it and posting them on facebook or twitter. You'll be the most popular kid in your yard!

Print out your cutouts HERE (front) and HERE (rear)

MacRumors gives the following directions:

Each cutout can fit on standard A4 (8.3 x 11.7 inches) paper, but your printer has to be capable of borderless printing to achieve close to actual iPad dimensions. The real iPad dimensions are 9.56 inches x 7.47 inches x 0.5 inches. They've even included a cutout of the A4 processor you can include for "improved performance".

App of the Week: iTrust

Ladies and gents, we are back in full swing with our App of the Week reviews. This week we are taking a look at an app called iTrust.

Have you ever had those relationships or been around your friends and you wonder if they try to look at your texts when you leave your phone around? Thankfully, iTrust is here to show us what we are missing when we leave the room. The app is extremely simple, but there are some flaws.
