
Besides the brutish creature known as the LG GW990 there haven’t been many devices announced that will be taking full use of Intel’s Moorestown… that is until now. Openpeak recently announced their OpenTablet 7 Moorestown powered slate. Announced in conjunction with this bad boy, it was made public that an AT&T dataplan is in the works. Built off of a Linux-based core with Flash this iPhone OS-esque device is sure to turn heads.
Unlike most tablets in this category, the UI of this device suprisingly isn’t laggy what so ever. Rocking a 1080p front-facing camera, 5-megapixel camera round back, 1.9GHz Moorestown chipset, HDMI and plenty of interesting UI elements, this device is sure to appease those who desire one. After a hands on at CTIA Engadget’s Paul Miller noted that several aspects of the touchscreen keyboard were reasonably abysmal, however, with no confirmed release date this issue could be resolved come release.
