White EVO 4G Shows Up Early at Best Buy
White EVO 4G Shows Up Early at Best Buy
Every time there’s a big cellphone launch there’s always that one lucky guy that gets his grubby little hands on it before everyone else. This time it isn’t quite a large cellphone release, but only a variation of a large (literally) smartphone.
That’s right, the white EVO 4G we saw a while ago has been spotted in the wild - at Best Buy to be exact.

Video - Virtual Girlfriend for your iPhone - Saddest thing you'll see today
“There are multiple configurations for your girlfriend” - If that doesn’t scream “I have no life” than I have no clue what does.
Even though this app promises hours of fun poking your girlfriend in pre-determined spots, and taking out the recycling for money (yeah, seriously), it looks to be a real buzz kill - Download it here
Android on the HTC HD2 Finally Ready for the Masses
Until now Windows Mobile has seemed to be the only thing holding down the HTC HD2. With Sprint getting the EVO 4G, it seemed like a Android counterpart of the 4.3” device would never arrive for GSM users. That all ends today because now you can load Android 2.1 or even Ubuntu Linux (if you’re willing to take a little risk). If you’re not so sure about it, take a look at the Youtube video and when you’re ready head on over to the xda-developers forum to get started.

App store hacking stories are a bit exaggerated »
From the department of “it wasn’t as bad as it seemed”, apparently the events that took place over the weekend we’re a bit far fetched. MacRumors tells us that the overall impact on the 100 Million active iTunes users is minimal - “[Thuat Nguyen’s] efforts affected more than a few hundred accounts worldwide”…

"Nuts for Nintendo" - 20/20 Special from 1988
A recently uncovered 20/20 special “Nuts for Nintendo” that was originally aired more than 20 years ago shows the more mystical side of how Nintendo was viewed by adults of the time.
I find it funny that some of these parents back then thought they had it bad. Mind you, this was before Pokemon, Gameboy, Halo, the Wii, and the DS Lite.
PSP Review - Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
Metal Gear Solid 4 was supposed to be Hideo Kojima’s final game in the Metal Gear world, and yet here he is with Peace Walker, originally known as Metal Gear Solid 5. So how’s it stack up against the rest? Well, would it be premature to say right off the bat that it’s my game of the year front runner?
"The Internet? Bah!" - Classic 1995 Newsweek article
Uncovered from the “wtf were they thinking?” archives, an article from the early days of Newsweek has gotten our attention (again), and we think people of our young generation ought to read it. This is a classic 1995 column by Clifford Stoll where he explains why the Internet is nothing but “fawning techno-burble” and why we will never see its success. Bah!
