Now I know T3ch H3lp is about Tech and new things coming to help and improve our life but i found something that is a big issue in America and is a little offbeat. Most countries other than the U.S. have FREE health care and for the most, it works great! We sadly in the U.S. don't and are currently fighting for or against it.
The story I found is a perfect example of WHY we NEED either a national system OR massive reform. Besides millions of Americans being thrown out of their homes, being bankrupted by medical bills, their are other sad stories about people who DO have healthcare like Mr. Pearl.

Mr. Pearl is a 37 year-old muscular dystrophy patient who lives in the state of New York. In the state of New York, it is against the law for insurers to discriminate against individuals who summit large claims. So when Mr. Pearl stated his high-cost claim to his insurance company Guardian, they decided to cancel its entire line of coverage in the state of New York because his treatment required about $1 Million a year. In an e-mail between executives and obtained by the Washington Times, it said one executive referred to patients like Mr. Pearl as "dogs" the company could just "get rid of".
What has the U.S. come to when people who need help the most are denied by people sitting in their big billion dollar mansions, private jets, and more as they send people to the death beds?
I believe that if not a nationalized healthcare plan, SOMETHING MUST be changed. Oh and how do i relate this to tech you might ask, the simple use of e-mail to obtain the letter between executives, the tech used to help the man save a life and wondering how it really cost that much!
Think about it.
