Apple releasing white iPod touch in October with little to no major hardware changes

Around this time of year we usually get a big press event on the latest addition to the iPod line, but apparently this time around we won’t be getting anything of the sort. September has come and almost gone without so much as a peep from camp Apple on a single new product due for upcoming release — including any new iPod revisions or models. Well, thanks to Macrumors, we have some confirmation of sorts that Apple does plan to release a new iPod, though it’s not all that different than what you might own already. — More after the break!

Logitech Wireless Touchpad review

With computing moving closer to an all touch future, Logitech has released their “Magic Trackpad competitor,” the Wireless Touchpad. Featuring two, three, and four finger gestures, the Touchpad is compatible with Windows 7 and costs $50. We got all the news from Marty himself about how these initial 1,500 pairs of Nike MAGS (a.k.a. the Back to the Future 2 shoes) will be auctioned off on eBay with all profits going for Parkinson’s disease research. But what about the rest of us who want a pair of real power-lacing kicks? Well, we’ll just have to wait 4 more years.

3DS 'Slidepad' will retail for around $20 bucks, out in Japan Dec. 10th

At Nintendo’s Pre-TGS event, which just happened to be livestreamed across the inter-webs, the company lifted the veil off the uncertain future of their 3D handheld machine, the 3DS. Trailers and announcements led the way but the ‘Slidepad’ cradle that attaches itself to the system and adds a second circlepad was mysteriously absent.
