It’s the talk of the town in the tech world and there’s no way we’re going to pass up this golden opportunity to break down every single feature about this shiny new Apple toy. We will have a full review sometime around April 15. Why so late you ask? We don’t ever want to make a crappy, slapped together as quick as possible, review. iPad OS registry hints at future iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad

iPad release aside; what other magical Apple goodies are worth waiting for? After a little digging in the iPad registry, what can only be seen as next-generation hardware has cometh to light. If we’re reading into this correctly, it appears that the company is planning on releasing two iPhones (iPhone 3,2 and iPhone 3,3), accompanied by an updated iPod Touch (iPod 4,1) and what can be assumed as a future iPad (iProd 4,1). Now we can’t confirm the validity of any of these claims, but if past events have taught us anything, it’s that similar registry treasure hunts have led to similar finds.

iPad does not charge when plugged into a PC?

According to podcasting rockstar Alex Albrecht, it does not - and after Alex go the iPad home, he sent out a Tweet that shocked even me:

First real “come on Apple” moment… iPad doesn’t charge when connected to a PCs USB port only Macs! & yes they are USB 2.0 ports.

So this is really disappointing, and quite frankly un-excusable from Apple especially. It would appear they would have to make changes to the device to have it not charge with a PC.

It would work by default technically, but it seems to have made some sort of method of detecting the OS or something along those lines to make it impossible to charge your iPad via a PC. More details when they come…

These are some of the thousands of people waiting in line for the iPad today - At Apple’s 5th avenue signature store, “The Cube”. These people will be taking home an iPad, and be pinching photos and wiggling internets all day. The most likely person to get the iPad first is Greg Packer, who also got the first iPhone, but at this particular store the NYPD are there with barriers galore, dealing with the masses of tired, impatient and somewhat raging people waiting for their iThing. Chilly feet, tired keyboard fingers and a coffee-less morning are what these people are going to experience. Let’s just hope that there is a “Will it blend” segment as soon as possible.
