Zelda Skyward Sword gets its first tv ad, which reminds us of 1990's Nintendo marketing -- (Video)
Can you feel it? The Master Sword between your fingertips. A little over a week from now the general public will finally be given the chance to lay their hands on the origin tale of how the “blade of evil’s bane” got to be Link’s. There’s a buzz in the air like never before in recent memory for a Nintendo property for Skyward Sword, and this ad only just gives us more goosebumps as we patiently await for the biggest Zelda game to date.
Rumor - The Last Story getting localized for Europe in early 2012
The Wii may be on its final legs, with the exception of Zelda: Skyward Sword a mere two weeks away, there seriously aren’t enough new titles to keep its popularity going. And what truly makes a system other than its games? Earlier this year Japan got itself 3 major RPG titles (The Last Story, Xenoblade, and Pandora’s Tower), a genre usually associated with the hardcorest of players, Nintendo of America and Europe initially decided to forego localizing the tri-fecta, seeing them as a lost cause since they would see minimal return on the localization effort. Well, NOE eventually got Xenoblade, but The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower have yet to see life outside fo Japan… that is, perhaps until now if this particular rumor is true. — More after the break!
Nintendo reports first year in red since 1981, loses over a billion dollars in 2011
Mario is dressed in red, but it’s not the kinda color Nintendo was hoping to see in their year-end annual fiscal report. So where did everything go wrong? Well, back before the 3DS was released, Satora Iwata and the folks who have been in charge of keeping your nostalgia on a consistent high, thought that pricing the 3D handheld at $250 was a bargain of a deal. Umm, yeah… that didn’t turn out so hot as we recall. So where does Nintendo go from here? — More after the break!
Homebrewers bring Waluigi to life in Smash Bros. Brawl
The Smash Bros. series is a franchise that needs no introduction. Since its inception back in the late 90’s it’s become just the kind of fresh take on Nintendo’s stars, old and new, that makes players come back for more. But what if Nintendo allowed updateable rosters — kinda like a DLC thing, or at least a community mode for players to share their modified creations together? Well, we know the Big N would never allow that sorta stuff, but that hasn’t stopped Homebrew folks from bringing Waluigi to the Brawl. — More after the break!

Well, if you live in the UK you’ve probably seen him and his Jumanji beard in an ad for the latest Zelda offering — the anniversary edition of Zelda: 4 Swords, which is a free downloadable for DSi and 3DS. Oh yeah, say goodbye to that beard.

Link and Zelda are more than friends in Skyward Sword -- (Video)
Throughout the years many variations of Link’s and Zelda’s have come and gone, but none of them ever really displayed much romantic interest in each other. Well, that’s all set to change in Skyward Sword as Nintendo has made it crystal clear in self-titled ‘Romantic trailer’ that this princess is into her knight in green armor.
