Rumor Report: Dragon Age: Awakening?

Dragon Age: Origins was a really fun game, it returned gamers to the old types of very hardcore RPGs like Baldur's Gate and Dungeons and Dragons. But it looks like Dragon Age could be getting a sequel, with Eurogamer spotting an online retailer with the name Dragon Age: Awakening on it's site, but being pulled down shortly after.

According to the site, they saw that Dragon Age: Awakening will be released for around two thirds of the price of the original game. Kotaku also spotted a PC and 360 version with no PS3 release being spotted. The description offered some brief details saying the game will feature a new character that would come with their own Origin Story and around 15 hours of play. It also reported the game would be released on March 19th which means they would have to announce it very soon.

With Dragon Age: Origins being one of my top games of 2009, I would definitely be happy for an expansion to the series.

So what do you think? Has Bioware has been working on a secret project? Or do you think it's just a myth?

Avatar makes a Billion dollars in record time

Reportedly the most expensive movie ever made, Avatar has been receiving rave reviews by critics everywhere (Check out Ricardo's thoughts on the movie here). With amazing 3D technology and jaw-dropping visuals, you really need to watch this achievement in movie making.

But apparently most of you already have, 20th Century Fox is reporting that the movie has made 1 billion dollars in just 17 days, making it the fastest movie to ever reach that landmark and putting it in 4th place of the biggest movies ever made after Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, and, of course, Titanic.

MAG Open Beta Now Live on PSN

The open beta for MAG (Massive Action Game) is now live on the PSN and ready for download. For those of you that don't know, MAG is a PS3 exclusive and multiplayer only title that boasts a 256 players per game. Put simply, I think that is insane, although it would be pretty fun if it worked properly. The Open Beta is scheduled to run from today until Jan 10th with it's official release date in North America being January 26th.

The beta reportedly includes two game modes, 64-player Sabotage and 256-player Domination. The download is a little large at around 1.8 to 2.3 GB of download once the 298MB client is downloaded.

Hopefully I'll get to try it but how has your experience been with MAG's beta?

What do you cover at CES 2010? - theres an iPhone App

Everyone is freaking out about what they are going to cover. 3D, Gaming, Gadgets, Software, and then again everything is in the most confusing layout possible and we are all hot and bothered about "what the heck do we do!". Its going to be really tough for a lot of small blogs and newbies to be able to get to all the events on time, or even decide which ones to see. Hey, calm down, there's an app for that (see what i did there?)

Its called FollowMe or "2010 International CES" and its the cure for your CES fever. It lets you organize and schedule your tradeshow information on the fly, also you can download exhibitor information rather than a bunch of brochures and other crap around the show. Also you can navigate the show floor using interactive indoor maps, and receive coupons n' stuff. It may seem a little ugly and cumbersome, but it will save your life, and its only $1.99.

Google overtakes Safari in number of users

Chrome is like the new guy, the eager yuppie, and it is rising at a steady pace, no dips, no slips. Its interesting that right after the realease of Chrome for the Mac, Chrome all of a sudden had a little spike and wiggled its tongue at Apple's Safari, beating Safari's market share by 0.17% w00t! The final stats for December 2009 were 4.63% for Google Chrome, versus 4.46% for Apple’s Safari. Sounds like Mac users want to learn some of the hipness, the culture of the shiny Chrome browser.
