Video: Christopher Poole - 4chan Creator Speaks at TED

As a four year 4chan lurker myself, I gotta think that Chris, otherwise known as m00t, is happy to come out and finally be recognized for this Frankenstein of a website that’s been beating behind the ribs of the internet for so long. Whether you’re aware of it or not, 4chan has played and still plays a big role in how you view the internet; and as he touched upon in his presentation, it goes far beyond just lolcats and rickrolls. Its social aspects of anonymity and community are what has fueled the wonder behind it - making countless people ask, who is anonymous and who exactly does post on there?

The mysterious HTC Legend makes another appearance

Parts of Europe are often privy to handsets that the rest of the world aren't; recently seen on the Netherlands' KPN, is none other than HTC's Legend. The Legend is most likely on KPN's site as a promotional stint for a future release in March. Mobile World Congress is most likely going to boast the official unveiling of this handset. If that's the case, it appears to coincide with KPN's promotional advertisement.

Final Fantasy 13 Xbox 360 Bundle

Well, along with Final Fantasy 13 surprisingly launching for Xbox 360 alongside the PS3, I figured Microsoft would pull something to make the game look more enticing on their system. Turns out that I was right...

Microsoft and Square Enix have just announced a Special Final Fantasy 13 Bundle of the Xbox 360. Similar to the Modern Warfare bundle, the special edition contains a 250gb hard drive, two wireless controllers, a headset, "exclusive Avatar items", and the standard edition of the game. There will also be a limited edition facplate for existing 360's that you can purchase separately and only available for a limited time.

The Best Free iPhone Voice Recognition App Ever - Siri

Personally, I am tired of having to talk to my device like it is some sort of robot — “Movies near San Fransisco, Market Street” — What if I could just ask it “What are some movies playing around me?” and it would find my location, find movies and allow me to get information, read about it, and get tickets. That would be cool, but the really amazing part is Siri’s ability to understand dialog, so when I ask “Is there any resteraunts I can eat at?” it will understand that by that point, I am in San Fransisco and I will probably want to eat close by.

Nintendo is Making New Hardware

In a move that isn't especially surprising, with so many rumors going around, Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed at an Arts Festival in Japan that the company is working on some new hardware. While he didn't confirm what it was or if it was even a handheld or a console, my guess would be the Wii HD or that motion controlled handheld that was rumored a few months ago.

It would definitely make logical sense for the Wii HD, improve the graphics so that it can stand on the same ground as the other two systems would definitely improve sales, especially if they get some good looking games on it. Not that the Wii needs a sales boost but it would still be pretty cool. The other possibility is that Nintendo is making the motion controlled handheld and if they do it right, I would also be totally okay with them making it. Imagine the DS with Iphone style motion gameplay!

What do you think Nintendo is making? Will they announce it at E3? Or do they have something big for their recently announced Media Summit on Feb 24th in San Francisco?
