Microsoft: Xbox's Project Natal can have 5 Year Lifespan

Let's be honest, the only consoles in direct competition in the current generation are the 360 and the PS3 - the Wii is in a league of its own. And both Sony and Microsoft came out early respecting that this generation would break the 6 year console cycle we've become so familiar with; going so far as to say their hardware would last us a full decade of play time. How they planned to do this was anyone's guess, but as time has passed it was always Microsoft who's gone out and made the first move, setting the bar to their standard. With the NXE update bringing about the Channel system, Avatars, Netflix, Twitter, Facebook, and games like 1 vs. 100, the 360 has already had its second wind, but can it get a third right around the time when in generations past gamers have usually replaced their aging systems

Aaron Greenberg, top Microsoft exec for product management, says the Natal can and will by bringing about interruptive technology...

Barbie's next Occupation: Computer Engineer

Mattel recently held an internet contest for Barbie to choose the bombshell blonde's newest career path. This was the first time Mattel has allowed the public to participate in selecting Barbie's occupation. Among the options were: environmentalist, surgeon, architect, news anchor, and... computer engineer! So 51 years and 124 different jobs later, Barbie will be gracing stores around fall or winter 2010 as Computer Engineer Barbie, to hopefully broaden the choices of careers for young girls in mass.

App of the Week: 360 Live

Ever since I purchased an iPhone, I have tried to find the best app for Xbox Live. I have gone through so many of them that I gave up for a while. Most Xbox apps are annoying, don't work well, don't do what they should do, and are a complete waste of time and money. Thankfully I decided to look again and stumbled upon the best Xbox Live app simply called 360Live. It's simplistic but does everything I would want.

Video: Praying Mantis Tries To Eat A Mouse Pointer

Oh nature, why do you continue to amaze me? -- This little guy managed to climb up on this dudes Macbook screen and start camping for a kill. Now even though this guy is cute and all, we all know Praying Mantises are one of the most scary bugs (especially when they are this big) but even through all that, you can't help but be overwhelmed by the curiosity and how innocent the act is. "I am hungry. I see crawling small bug. I will catch it. I will eat it." Simple thinking, virtual difficulties.

Street Fighter 4 coming to iPhone

IGN breaks that Street Fighter IV is going to Hadouken its way onto everyone favorite mobile handset, the iPhone. It's an interesting idea and although the thought of not having a physical controller in your hand may sound strange or even downright wrong for a fighter, but if done right this port could really add a whole new genre to the iPhone's already extensive game library.

Imagine waiting in a long line at a department store and pulling out your iPhone to get an online match of SFIV going to pass the time; Or how about riding the bus and practicing some combos while on your way to school or work; No details have been confirmed as to what we can expect from Capcom's newly announced mobile fighter, but I gotta say my mouth is watering from the possibilities.

Video: iFlip - iPod Touch Flipbook

The basic idea for this video is so simple that I can't believe it's taken this long for someone to think of it. Actually, I'll backtrack there - a quick trip to Youtube's search results prove me wrong - but this guy (Mystery Guitar Man) perfects it. With great pacing, a relevant song tied into the song (clever marketing), and a likable Youtube personality, you have the makings of a video I gladly rated and favorited.
