So yes, it is official! Google has announced the new, potentially compelling startup called “Google TV”, and quite simply, it is very interesting. It combines “the TV that you already know with the freedom and power of the Internet” and it appears that there are quite a few big-name hardware partners. Full demo video and more info after the break!

Latest MacBook torn apart, harvested, and reassembled in an older model

So what do you do when you happen to have last year’s MacBook, but you also want to extend its battery life by about 3 hours? You go out, purchase yourself a refreshed model boasting 10 hours of battery life, disassemble it and then let the transplanting begin. For the most part that’s what the fine guys and gals over at iFixit did. Of course, the new cells do weigh more and its newer silicon chip probably has something to do with that extra battery life, but hey, we didn’t object when Dr. Frankenstein created his monster and we’re not going to object now.

PSP2 Rumors and Leaked info on upcoming PS3 firmware

Rumors and leaks, the sustaining life force of the blogging world; First off, today’s rumors regard Sony’s follow up act to their somewhat successful, somewhat mediocre, Playstation Portable handheld, the PSP2. And in the leaks category, the PS3 is no stranger to firmware updates, but a couple of new upgrades coming later this year might just change the stigma we’ve grown accustomed to - especially when it comes to that nasty UI the PS3 has.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Trailer is Full of Awesome

Well, we’re probably getting a new iteration in the franchise every year at this point but, nonetheless, Treyarch continues to impress with this excellent new Black Ops trailer that really gets me pumped.

Also, this might be some wonderful news to hear; Treyarch a few days ago mentioned that dedicated servers are returning for PC players, making many people very happy indeed!

Call of Duty: Black Ops releases on November 9th for 360, PS3 and PC.
