Kik Messenger - The Text Message Killer?

Kik is a rather new message service which works across different mobile platforms. Kik works on the iLineup (iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad), Blackberry, and Android. If you have never heard of it don’t worry, Kik essentially grows as one person has it in your social circle leading to the entire group having it. The service is essentially a Blackberry messenger with the exception that it can be employed over several types of devices. The elevator pitch of Kik is that it is a free, real-time text messaging service, but despite how great it sounds on paper once you get to used to it, I promise you won’t be as impressed - Our breakdown after the jump!

Government Seized Websites are moving on via Twitter

Well, the government can now sieze domain names that belong to “copyright infringing” websites. The new bill called COICA has blacklisted over 70 website’s domain names, and when you visit those websites all you get is a scary red warning message, like the one above. Now, this doesn’t mean the actual website is gone, it just means the government is banning their domain names. Hoping to thwart copyright infringing websites out of exsistance, the government now realizes that this only works for .com domains — so all these websites have to do is buy a new domain name, and carry on from there, and announce it on Twitter — TechCrunch has more.

Kinect hacked to be a Super Mario Bros. controller

No, he does not jump on his dog’s back to ride Yoshi — but in other observations, this is possibly the most useless/awesome/degrading/mind-blowing use of technology ever witnessed. It’s not only Nintendo meets Microsoft, but it’s todays technology working in harmony with technology that’s 25 years old. It’s hard to believe that this can work together, but when it comes down to it… it’s all 1’s and 0’s.

Why Does Apple Grab All the Media's Attention?

Whether we like it or not, Apple and the media have a distinct love for each other - one that’s been going on for a long while now, and most of us don’t want to admit it. And while most of this is all common knowledge, I thought I’d point out a few reasons why we’re always hearing, reading, and seeing Apple on tv, blogs, and print:
