Google's social "+1" coming to sites and search results near you

Why beat Facebook when you can straight out copy them? Google is looking to drive past their last social failure, Google Buzz, and move forward with “+1”, pronounced “plus one”. The new feature is exactly like the Digg and Facebook like button — just one more social button you’ll ignore as you browse the internet at night.

Zack Snyder: Justice League movie will NOT connect to Batman or Superman films

You knew it was only a matter of time, especially after Marvel announced they were doing The Avengers — DC has finally decided to go ahead with the Justice League film. Though, this does put a couple of worrying thoughts on comic fans’ minds. Issues like, will Christian Bale and his smoker’s voice be starring alonside Rey Reynolds and his CG costume? Zack Snyder, director for the upcoming 2012 Superman film, also known for leading production on Watchmen and 300, has set the record straight. — More after the break!

OmmWriter for PC is word processing without distraction

We briefly introduced you to OmmWriter the last we spoke about it, however since then it’s been released for PC, giving us more incentive to share it with everyone in attendance here today. So what is OmmWriter? Well, to put it simple, it’s not Microsoft Word, it’s not OpenWriter, and it’s probably nothing like any other application you’ve run into before. It does away with distractions and seals you into a zone where writing can flow, y’know the way it’s supposed to. — More after the break.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Trailer is awkward and stupid

When Capcom made RE:5 too different from its roots by making it a westernized glorification of action, exploding set-pieces, it didn’t bode well with fans. Well, Operation Raccoon City, which is being developed by the SOCOM team, seems to be following that same trend and inevidibly will kill of the series once and for all.

Xbox testing new disc format, offering preview program sign up's

Microsoft has repeatedly denied that they’re heading the Blu-Ray route, even when their own HD-DVD crapped out of the next-gen dvd race. Well, it seems that they’re up to something, though it still isn’t Blu-Ray. Sources close to the company rumor that it’s all a means to free up an extra 1GB of space on already existing DVD’s, nothing spectacular there. However, Xbox is running a preview program for it and are offering Halo: Reach to all those who get selected. Umm, score! — More after the break.

Do you wonder how fast the Internet is at Google?

When it comes to “the internet”, you can’t help but have Google pop into your head. They are the worlds largest internet presence, and they do everything to be the best at… well… everything. Maps, Operating Systems, Voice, Browsers, Video sharing, and oh yeah, search. But what makes Google a really awesome company is how fast their office internet is.
