Lead MobileNotifier Developer Scooped up by Apple

Notifications on the iPhone and other iOS devices have been a riot mess for quite sometime now. We have seen a barrage of utilities and applications developed for those willing to take the plunge into jailbreak fandom, the most promising and unobtrusive system being MobileNotifier. In fact, some may remember our original article on the matter. Since then however, MobileNotifier has transgressed from beta build software to semi-official Apple software. Let me explain; it has recently come to light that the original developer behind MobileNotifier was scooped up by an undisclosed fruit based company located in Cupertino, California.

E3 2011 -- How and where to watch Microsoft's Press Conference LIVE

In times past it seemed as if the big guys weren’t all that interested in streaming their E3 briefings to the fine folks at home. Well, apparently this year is a lot different since all of them (Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo) will be broadcasting their press conferences live over the inter-webs. First to the stage is Microsoft, as is the usual custom, and we have a number of places you can catch their press conference LIVE at 9AM later this morning — Details after the break!

Rumor -- Project Cafe will officially be called "Nintendo"

If you grew up in the late 80’s and early 90’s you might remember the NES, not by its official name; the Nintendo Entertainment System, but more than likely as simply “the Nintendo”. Well, it looks like we might come back to that time full circle, as the latest rumors surfacing the internet is that Project Cafe, or the Big N’s next gen console, will be dubbed simply “Nintendo”. — More after the break!

E3 2011 -- Senran Kagura peaks your curiosity of boobs on the 3DS

I can see it now — your head shaking from side to side, muttering to yourself, “those crazy Japanese.” Well, no one else does it quite better at being creepy and crossing the line than the inhabitants of the land of the rising sun. Marketed as the game with 3D boobs, Senran Kagura gets its first trailer today.

Sony Files Trademark Claim for PS Vita

Early last week we reported that Sony’s upcoming handheld console, known to most as the NGP or ‘Next Generation Portable,’ would be branded the “PS Vita.” While at first some felt as though the name was seemingly ridiculous, it now appears as though the name PS Vita will be sticking around. Last friday in Europe, Sony Computer Entertainment filed a pair of trademark claims for both the name “PS Vita” and its pairing logo. — Details after the break!

PS3 - Brink Review

Brink is a very ambitious game; crafted by the developers of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and published by Bethesda, Brink attempts to blur the line between the singleplayer and multiplayer experiences offered by other shooters with varied results. The concept is cool, the aesthetics are stylish yet it still falls flat due to a lack of actual content, a story that feels a little baren, and some of the worst bots I’ve ever seen. This leads into a game that’s “just okay”, but with a few balance changes here and there, it’s very easy to see how the game could justify the high price point down the road. — Our review after the break!

E3 2011 -- Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City has zombies and blood, what did you expect? (trailer)

In case you weren’t aware of it, 2011 happens to be the 15th anniversary of the Resident Evil franchise. And to celebrate the momentous occasion Capcom and Slant Six Games have been working on a FPS title that brings you back to Raccoon City, the origin of where the zombie outbreak first started. Only this time you’re sorta the bad guys, hunting down the protagonists from letting this whole Umbrella and zombie misunderstanding get out.
