Netflix quietly scraps Qwikster idea and decides to just leave things as they are

Netflix’s blog read something like this today, “J/k, lol!!!” — or so that’s how we read it. Regardless, a new entry on the official blog explains that Qwikster will NOT be happening at all (whew!), and that Netflix will remain as it currently is — with DVD’s and streaming all coming from underneath one roof and offered to customers via one account. — More after the break!

Sony negotiating rights to make the next Steve Jobs movie

If you don’t know about the first Steve Jobs movie then you need to get out now! Okay, maybe not… but you should at last be aware of it. Pirates of Silicon Valley which covers the early beginnings and success of both Apple and Microsoft, and more specifically Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, may just be the biggest tech movie never to grace the big screen. Steve Jobs biography gets pushed up to October 24th, author knew of Jobs short remaining time

It’s been a top Amazon’s best sellers list for the past month and it hasn’t even come out yet; Steve Job’s officially sanctioned biography, being penned by Walter Issacson — former Chairman/CEO of CNN and Managing Editor of TIME. Well, the book has now been bumped up a few weeks, and will now release October 24th, undoubtedly due in part to the sudden passing of its figure topic — Apple’s long time visionary, Steve Jobs. — More after the break.
