AOL is killing journalism very fast - TechCrunch closing up shop, Engadget still falling apart

As the owner of Okay Geek, it still baffles me today why a group of people who write about things they like (aka a blog) should ever be considered a “business”. Sure, we can have ads and make a bit of profit, and hell, maybe we can even make a living off of it! But, I mean, we all know that money (or lack there of) and greed are the poisons that eventually brings entire companies to their knees, and the process of a blog selling themselves to a large company is just a recipe for disaster.

Newell: "We're a little naive about used game trade-in's"

Steam has always been on the cutting edge of giving players what they want at the right time. The next step in the gaming client’s future has community trading in its sights. Gamestop opens new games, takes out bonus codes and discs

We hate Gamestop, you hate Gamestop and pretty much every gamer hates the evil of which, is Gamestop. A money grabbing sweatshop where games are sold over and over, money is taken and dreams collapse in on themselves like dying stars. The husk that is left of brick and mortar gaming retail is Gamestop and now they have reached a new, yet familiar, low which we’ll talk about below…   also Gamestop smells. — More after the break!
