Is the Motorola Xtreme coming to Verizon?

Starting sometime next week: Big Red’s rumoured to begin testing its latest Android-powered Motorola device called the “Xtreme.” We don’t have any specs on hand, but considering that ol’ faithfuls Motorola line-up is well… aging slightly, we can only hope that Motorola’s latest device will look similar to the rumoured Shadow (featured above). As soon as those leaked photos and videos surface we’ll be sure to post ‘em. In the meantime how about letting your smartphone fantasies run wild? After all, Moto’s next device could be just that.

Japanese DJ needs toilet paper - Twitter delivers, literally

Question: You’re alone in a public restroom and you find yourself in the awkward position of running out of invaluable t.p. What do you do?

Well, if you’re Japanese anime DJ, Naika Tei, the answer is simple: you put your thinking cap on and turn to Twitter. And after about 20 minutes or so after tweeting about his situation and his exact location, a follower of his came to the rescue. Whew, what a close one!

10 points to social media!

Verizon's Pixi Plus now free on a two year contract

Dear Verizon customers,

It appears that the Palm Pixi Plus has gone the way of its Sprint brethren. For the simple commitment of 2 years on contract you can now have your very own Pixi Plus for no more than zero dollars upfront. Sure it’s not really the best smartphone out there, but what it lacks in usability it more than makes up for in style, ergonomics and did we… um mention style?

If worst comes to worst you could always get the Pixi and pair it with Verizon’s free mobile hotspot service, after all it is $50 cheaper than a MiFi (granted, we know that in the long run you’ll be paying more as you’ve purchased an actual phone, but hey a great deal’s a great deal).
