Samsung Moment begins updating to Android 2.1?

Samsung Moment begins updating to Android 2.1?
Well, this has turned into an epic, but it also looks as though it’s finally coming to a close. We are of course talking about the Samsung Moment’s Android 2.1 firmware update, and at the moment it appears as though the firmware update executable found on Sprint’s site is breathing artificial Android 2.1 life into the now dated Moment.
If any Moment owners out there have updated their device let us know via comments, okay?
Mega Man gets an awesome Indie film
Mega Man’s 2 and 3 are some of my most oldest and cherished childhood memories I can remember. The variety of weapons, stages, and musical themes sucked me in and charmed me into being an avid video game player as I grew up. To me there couldn’t be a better experience.
Nearly 20 years later, Eddie Lebron, an independent film director, has taken my favorite gaming series and adapted it into a full length film. And I gotta say, it’s pretty dang good.
Full movie after the break!
New iPad Commercial goes out into the wild

This is one of the best commercials I have ever seen. Period. - If I don’t judge the iPad at all, like if I had never used it, this would be the point at which I say “I need to get one of these”. Again, I’m judging this as a commercial, I’m not letting the iPad weigh into my main point which is - Commercials need to do more than sell a product, start excitement, and capture interest. They need to contour themselves to fit multiple peoples points of view, and sell the experience, not the product. The cinimitography in this ad is spectacular and the voice over is moving. Add to favorites!
We also made - an Apple ad for the iPad, but this one is better.

Skype jumps ship: Isn't planning on creating an app for WP7

Skype — a name synonymous with VoIP applications — has recently informed every Tom, Dick and Harry that it’s not planning on releasing the fruits of its loins to Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 OS. The company’s Vice President for the Asia Pacific region (Dan Neary) stated that the company’s “not developing software for the new Windows Mobile software due later this year.” Make what you will from this, but if Skype’s statement is based around the same issues that Mozilla brought forward (lack of access to the right dev tools) then perhaps other giants of the cloud-computing world will renege out of the WP7 app making market as well.

It appears that Dan Neary’s quote has been used out of context. According to MobileTechWorld who followed up on the story; Windows Phone 7 is currently on the list of supported OSes. When asked Dan Neary stated that Windows Mobile won’t be supported (which makes sense in lieu of Windows Phone 7’s future release). Sorry for the confusion, but as of now Skype is planning on developing a Windows Phone 7 app.

Adobe Attacks Apple With Hugs and Love Letters
Adobe Attacks Apple With Hugs and Love Letters
As a tech blog, we have been in the crossfire of the Adobe and Apple (aka HTML5 and Flash) format war, and we are getting tired of it.
Just when we thought all humanity was lost, and the war would rage into a full scale attack, Adobe puts down their fists, gets out a pen, and writes Apple a heart felt wakeup call on the future of the web. Then they step up, and make some new ads, filled with hearts, love and peace - Read more
Stop a Shoplifter - Get Fired from Sprint
Ok, two employees are on their way back to the Sprint store - when they see an over-the-hill security guard charging after a thief. They whip their heads around and see that he’s crying out for help, and is no longer able to keep up with the crook. Naturally, testosterone kicks in and they start legging it after the thief. They run at full sprint (pun) when they grab the thief by the scruff of his neck, and hold him down until mall security and police arrive. Yay, they’re heroes… or are they?
Let’s back up for one sec.
