Opera is Much Faster than Boiling a Potato

Remember this amazing speed test made by Google, to showcase Chrome’s speed?

Opera has taken it up a notch by testing their browser against not just a potato, but boiling the potato as well. This is a really funny spoof on the already amazing speed test by Google, and it just goes to show that rivalring companies can be light hearted, and still be successful.

The next Apple TV rumoured to be part iPhone 4... sell for $99

If you thought Google’s leap into the realm of home entertainment was unique to the say the least, wait until you get a look at Apple’s supposed next Apple TV. A recent tip close to the heart of Engadget — which was later confirmed by an undisclosed source “close to Apple” — has revealed what appears to be the next Apple TV. According to their sources, Apple’s looking to incorporate its latest home entertainment system in with its “mobile offerings.” To be specific there’s talk of its base architecture being modelled off of the rumoured (soon to be official, we know Apple can’t hide it much longer) iPhone 4. That means this next iteration of Apple TV will in all probability contain Apple’s very own A4 CPU — which ironically enough, was originally created by Samsung, but that has nothing to do with this story.

Day to Day living in the year 2020

Day to Day living in the year 2020

How do you picture life will be like in ten or so years? Flying cars and lifestyles like the Jetsons should be the norm then, right? Well, if these following pictures are any clues as to what we can expect then it just might be even cooler than both those ideas.

Imagine a time when you are hooked up to the internet at all times, and augmented reality is your monitor screen - Check it out HERE

The Gaming Station From Hell

This is a wall unit in your bedroom that holds your big screen TV, right? - Well, did you know that your room mate has built a secret layer inside your TV case (which is the size of a kiddy pool) to hold his gaming gear? He could be in there right now playing some sort of FPS while guzzling mountain dew and stepping out the odd moment to wipe his Cheeto fingers on your bed sheets!

If that story isn’t true, and your TV unit is fine, it could maybe be some poor husband who enjoys a good game session with some old college pals, and has now been forced out of the (soon to be) baby’s room, and stuffed in the wardrobe. Either way, its so sad… (but oddly cool right?)

More photos after the break!

Penn agrees - Kindle better for reading than iPad

Yesterday we posted an article on how Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos, believes that the Kindle is a much more better product when it comes to reading when compared to the iPad.

Well, interestingly enough, two days ago, Penn, of Penn & Teller fame, came out and did a short video for his series on Revision3, and said pretty much the exact same thing.

Though he didn’t knock the iPad for it being so “cool”, but rather specifically said that its all those extracurricular features that impede him from actually sitting back and getting some actual reading done.
