Windows Phone 7 update discussed on Developer Podcast

Since Windows Phone 7’s inaugural release I’ve shown increasing interest towards its update line. As most know, over the past several months Microsoft has released pre-updates in anticipation for Windows Phone’s first official update. And while initially it was unveiled that the Mango upgrade for Windows Phone devices would come equipped with some form of multitasking, as well as copy & paste; it has now been revealed via the latest Windows Phone Developer Podcast, that Mango will come with some other delectable mobile goodies.

Ovi Maps 3D Brings San Francisco to Life - Video

When it comes to 3D mapping, Google has led the way for quite a while now. 3D mapping hasn’t always been that functional, and it hasn’t really been that “good” looking. Well, Ovi Maps has stepped in and did the 3D right for the first time. Although it doesn’t add any useful functionaliaty, it opens up a huge amount of doors for news stations and anyone else that requires a real 3D view of the world.

Reuters: iPhone 5 set to release in September

It’s strange to think that it’s almost May and we still haven’t heard anything about Apple’s upcoming iPhone 5 handset. Heck, last year we were already knee deep in a Gizmodo / iPhone 4 scandal that involved thousands of dollars, police with search warrants, and an ungodly amount of articles by Gizmodo milking the whole situation to Gawker’s delight. INQ Cloud Touch, the first Facebook phone goes on sale in the UK

Facebook phones, ‘for when the app just isn’t enough’. That’s right, the first of many Facebook phones to come has gone on sale, with INQ’s Cloud Touch heading up retail in the United Kingdom. Making use of an Android based core with tween-infused skinning, the Cloud Touch brings a friendly Facebook-centric user interface to the smartphone.
