For the past several weeks it has been strongly rumoured that conglomerates Nokia and Microsoft would enter into a partnership, by way of which, the faltering Finnish phone manufacturer would adopt Windows Phone 7. Now that Nokia’s Capital Market Day is well under way, I’m proud to say: Nokia’s beginning to get their house in order, they’ve finally adopted Windows Phone 7.
Wait — the HP Pre? Your eyes are not deceiving you! “Palm” as a brand is no more, and all WebOS products will now be branded with HP logos. At today’s event in San Francisco, HP revealed the next generation of WebOS smartphones and tablets, coming in small, medium, and large (the Veer, Pre 3, and TouchPad, respectively). — Details on each device after the break!
Wow, I knew smartphones had generated some traction amongst the populace, but I hadn’t expected anything this crazy. According to a report put out by research firm IDC, smartphones are now outselling personal computers worldwide. iLounge just won’t let the “death grip of doom” thing go away, but if this 7-minute long video has anything to say about it neither should they! It appears that despite moving around some hardware here and there, Apple’s specially made CDMA iPhone 4 for Verizon is still plagued with a slew of different hand positions in which its reception will just begin to die out on you.
There are countless clock apps on the iPhone but when you look across the board there aren’t many that have that Ziiiro feel to them. What or who is Ziiiro? Well, they’re the makers of some of the most modern wrist watches you’ve ever set your eyes on. Over the past few weeks there’s been a bit of “heat” between AT&T and Verizon, and Apple is in the middle loving every minute of it. It’s turned into somewhat of a multi-million dollar, passive agressive argument between in-laws, and there’s no sign of it stopping. But no matter what happens Apple will emerge with its pockets lined with money and lots of it. Let the smackdown begin! — More after the break!
