Nokia annonuces 3 new social networking phones: the C3, C6 & E5

It’s been pretty quiet on the Nokia front as of late, but last Tuesday the Finnish company decided that now would be the best time to announce their new line of social networking / messaging handsets: the C3, C6 and E5. Aimed to introduce more Symbian handsets into the lower price point of the market, developing third world countries, Nokia noted that all three devices will be priced competitively.

Entertainment Industry: We lied about all the Piracy Statistics

Entertainment Industry: We lied about all the Piracy Statistics

The Entertainment Industry has gotten a slap on the wrist by GAO and the facts are in. The entertainment industry pulled all those statistics about pirating and how it is affecting them, out of their asses. This is ludicrous, and its not going to get any better if we don’t keep digging up dirt like this. The GAO then went on to slam three particular reports often linked to the government. They’re all commonly cited, they’re all bogus, and at least one is still being used officially - Read more

The RIAA and MPAA want to put spyware on your computer to delete stuff

RIAA/MPAA Want Government-Mandated Spyware That Deletes ‘Infringing’ Content Automatically on your computer using your money that should be going towards your family’s safety.

This is as bad as it can possibly get in the war over copyright protection and DRM. The RIAA and MPAA have submitted a plan to the Office of Intellectual Property Enforcement, and it is absolutely terrifying!

They want to have the legal right to place spyware on all computers to automatically detect and remove “infringing” content. They want to be able to prevent you from downloading anything they don’t think legal. They want to permit mandatory border searches on every person crossing the border. They also want free copyright enforcement provided by Fed cops and agencies (including the Department of Homeland Security!).

This is not even the most frightening - they want to use your tax money, and your resources to protect their failing business model, and keep money in their pockets. They want to put your family at risk by using funds provided for the FBI and Homeland Security who keep you safe, so they can get free taxpayer-supported muscle to protect their summer blockbuster films.

Improved loading time on T3ch H3lp

I noticed that when loading T3ch H3lp from a cold start, it was fast, but as soon as the top bit was loaded it stalled, and then after 2 seconds, it continued at a slower pace. 2 Seconds is a lot of time when browsing multiple pages, and this was due to yucky ads. I found a way to fix it so every ad loads last so all the good bits are wowing your eyes before the ads appear. You are welcome!

Google has over one million servers - Comparison

We all know this, but how does Google compare to the rest - and what you are about to see is going to make you sh*t bricks. Google now owns over 2% of the worlds servers, which is well over 1 billion. Looking at this chart you can see that 14 of the most server intensive companies, don’t even come close to Google. All of these combined, plus Microsoft, Ebay, Amazon and Yahoo, would not even equal half of the servers Google owns. Take a look for yourself - after the break!

Everybody's doing it - Modern Warfare 2 Ad

There’s been a lot of mud being thrown on both sides of the Activision/ Infinity Ward squabble, but that’s not stopping the marketing guys from doing their job.

Everybody’s doing it, huh? Who knew that innocent gaming commercials of yesteryear would turn into NSFW ads that’d exploit sexual double entandres!

Either way, this ad is gold; Regardless of what side of the fence the marketing team is on make sure to keep those guys!
