Google Introduces New Search Index - Caffeine »
“Today, we’re announcing the completion of a new web indexing system called Caffeine. Caffeine provides 50 percent fresher results for web searches than our last index, and it’s the largest collection of web content we’ve offered” — Carrie Grimes, Google
This is really exciting for some, but a lot of you don’t understand what the heck is going on - I mean, and new “Search Index”? - what is all this about? Well, lucky for you, Google explains everything, along with some videos, in their new article.
How to Monitor your Mobile Data Usage

With all these changes coming to At&t’s unlimited data plans some people have gotten kind of mad. I was one of them at first. But then I checked my usage trends and realized that, “Wow, I never even get close to reaching 2GB’s of data”, as the graph above shows. I was shocked since I’m constantly watching videos or surfing the web, but then I realized that I’m 90% connected to some sort of WiFi point, which when I am doesn’t count toward the data used on At&t’s network.
So to help you monitor and keep track of every MB used, Lifehacker’s got a few tips and tricks for you to use and know. And hey, it might help you out in the long run since you after knowing your trends you may want to decide to change to a different price tier.
And for you Android owners out there, their guide also covers Android handsets.
Activision is back with DJ Hero 2

If the 1 turntable packaged with DJ Hero wasn’t enough for you, DJ Hero 2, available this Fall, comes with 2 turntables and a microphone. The press release didn’t clarify whether or not you were supposed to use both turntables by yourself or share one with a friend while you play. Either way, the new built-in microphone should allow some interesting gameplay. The only other hardware change besides this is a white controller in addition to the original black one.
Second Chance for Video Chat
If you believe all the media hype from Apple and HTC, you’d swear video chat on a mobile device is something new, then you thought wrong. Because guess what folks? News flash: this technology has been around since “1999”, according to CNN, but nobody picked up on it. This time, however, it’s a bit different, so I thought I’d list a couple of reasons why I think video chat will finally take off with iPhone 4.

Yeah, for those of you who are legally blind (reading a blog for some reason), there are little pink giblets dangling from this lady’s iPhone - aka iPhone balls.
Now, we thought about not posting this, but we came to a sensible conclusion that this belongs on the internet, as you would agree.
And for $15 you can get your “accessory” here

Twitter to change how links are displayed »
We have been waiting for this! - Ya’ know all those short URL’s? Yeah, they can be a bit confusing sometimes, for example: not being able to determine where you’ll end up (that can be a bit scary!)
Twitter is doing some major updates to its link-posting system, allowing end users to see where all those links go, and also allow Twitter to aggregate information from what you click on, to serve you more relevant ads. Very, very interesting - (click the title to view story)
Storage Systems Inc. creates 3-screened laptop... kind of
Computex might be over, but that doesn’t mean we’re not still seeing a trickle of crazy MIDs, Tablets and Laptops. The latter being the craziest thing we’ve seen from the show — yes, it’s even more crazy than the World of Warcraft phone. What we’re looking at here is a three-screened laptop from Storage Systems Inc. And well, its insane! Inside you’ll find a full ATX motherboard with two graphics cards (although, we’re not yet able to clarify what graphics cards power this thing, same applies to other silicon). Nevertheless, it’s also got a detachable keyboard, and is capable of outweighing a 27-inch iMac by 2kgs. So, should this thing come to market, don’t go carrying your 15kg laptop to school… you know, unless you want to start some crazy litigation process with the people who made it for breaking every bone in your body. If you’re feeling slightly adventurous after all that, there’s a video of it in action after the break.
