Microsoft talking with Verizon and Comcast for Live TV features coming to Xbox

Back at E3 we got our first look at what the next iteration of Xbox Live would look like this fall — live tiles and all. And what really excited a number of people was the announcement of a Live TV feature heading to the console. While yes, we have Hulu and Netflix taking care of our entertainment needs, sometimes we just want to catch the local news or simply catch a game in progress that isn’t supported by the ESPN Xbox channel. Details about the upcoming feature have been next to none… until now. — More after the break!

"Gotta Share!" the musical - (video)

At the GEL conference that happened in NYC back in April of this year something quite lyrical happened — a room full of techies got caught off guard and found themselves smack dab in a real-life musical performance, naming sites and sharing sites that probably won’t mean much to someone outside of the tech bubble and fandom.

Logitech Wireless Touchpad review

With computing moving closer to an all touch future, Logitech has released their “Magic Trackpad competitor,” the Wireless Touchpad. Featuring two, three, and four finger gestures, the Touchpad is compatible with Windows 7 and costs $50. MegaMan's creator offered to finish up Legends 3, Capcom said 'no, thanks'

Capcom cited a number of reasons for not moving forward with the fan favorite MegaMan Legends 3 project, but apparently one of them wasn’t resources or personel. In fact, Keiji Inafune, the creator of MegaMan, despite leaving Capcom as a whole, actually offered his services into bringing the game to fruition. What was the studio’s response? “No, thank you”. — More after the break!

Rumor - iPhone 5 event happening October 5th

We know it’s coming. We can just about taste and smell it. The iPhone 5 is right around the corner but when will it be announced and when will we be able to get our greasy little hands on it? That’s the million dollar question, especially with camp Apple staying mum on the subject. But that hasn’t stopped a number of sites from reporting alleged rumors about its design, new features, and possible release. And guess what? We got ourselves a new rumor to chase! — More after the break!

Netflix splitting streaming and dvd rentals into two company's -- introducing Qwikster.com and game rentals

Netflix’s price increases went into effect earlier this month and that didn’t go too smoothly with its millions of members from crying bloody murder. It wasn’t so much the price hike as much as the way the company handled it, completely without any soul, just simply stating the price was happening and to conform or be charged. Well, just a few hours ago Netflix’s CEO, Reed Hastings, apologized for the way things were handled, and also within the same statement unveiled plans to create a new company that soley manages the dvd side of things, as well as a whole new video game rental department. — More after break!

High-res Photo of Mars surface taken from 35 Million miles away

If anything will amaze me for my entire lifetime, it will be the wonders of space. It’s like an endless playground for humans to test their limits of technology, understanding and teaching. We have little idea what’s out in the endless distance, but every second we get to enjoy the wonders that we’ve discovered is a joy, and now we can admire the surface of Mars without even getting close. This photo was captured in January 2004 by NASA and is the first high-res photo of Mars in history. Entire photo and more info after the break!
