Gizmodo walks away unscathed after iPhone 4 prototype case is finally settled

With all the commotion that the iPhone 5 is brewing it’s easy to forget the prolific events that unfolded last year via Gizmodo and its hand in officially blowing-the-lid off the iPhone 4. If you don’t remember or weren’t aware of what transpired we’ll throw you into a crash course beyond the break, but we’re going to spoil the ending for you now: Gizmodo and its employees, nor its parent company Gawker, got into trouble. — More after the break!

Closest to the real deal renders of the iPhone 5 we've seen so far

T-minus one more month and counting ‘til the ‘supposed’ annual conference that Apple usually holds for iPod products will be going down — and with it the ‘supposed’ unveiling of the next iteration of the miracle-maker, the iPhone 5. We’ve heard stories, we’ve seen glimpses, but here’s your first real look at what might truly be what you’ll be holding very soon and boy does it look delicious. — More after the break!

iPhone 5 gets unofficial Chinese mock ups that could point to the real deal

Love’em or hate’em Gizmodo always seems to be the place where iPhone designs leak first. And here they’ve gotten some images taken from a Chinese factory that has created their very own iPhone 5 clone for use in developing cases. So to clarify, this is NOT the real deal, just a real life model of what it COULD look like. — More images after the break!

Report - AT&T prepping for September iPhone 5 launch

We’ve heard about this possible September launch of the next iteration of the iPhone for months, but now it’s becoming more and more of a solid fact. Though we aren’t really sure on much of anything in terms of hardware design changes or additionally built-in features, but there’s some wind out there that gives credence to a non-bezel finish that stretches the touch screen end to end. — More after the break!

Bluelounge Nest review

We’ve gone through our fair share of stands for iDevices and although we’ve seen a couple of good ones, the Bluelounge Nest is easily the most useful, and simplest stand. It doesn’t seem like much of a stand at first sight but rather more like a tray. So why is it so good? — Our full review after the break!

iPhone 4 falls 13,500 feet from Skydiver's pocket and lives

When Apple set out to create the iPhone, I highly doubt they believed it would one day be dropped from 13,500 feet. As avid skydiver Jarrod McKinney recently discovered, Apple’s fourth generation iPhone is far sturdier than most would believe. A short drop and sudden stop is often enough to destroy the glass back or display of Apple’s popular smartphone — a feat which was achieved by McKinney after his two year old accidentally knocked his phone from a bathroom shelf, cracking the screen in the process. However in this instance, a mishap 13,000+ feet above the ground has resulted in a rather amusing story.

Genius tweaks to iOS 5 (why didn't Apple do this?) - Video

When we saw iOS 5, we we’re really blown away. Despite the fact that they copied off Android (hint: every company copies off every company), we’re happy to see some new stuff on the iPhone. Now, here’s where we have a “WTF” moment — once we saw this video, it really made us wonder “why didn’t Apple include this stuff back in iOS 4?
