It is now 2012 all over the world!

Today a major milestone has been reached: the beginning of a new chapter and a fresh horizon. Twenty twelve, here we come! Clearing out the old to make room for the new. Marking a point in time and neatly filing away our triumphs, failures and memories for a rainy day so we can shed the burden of the past and hit the ground running into the new year with big ideas!

We want to thank all of our readers for sticking with us from the beginning, and all of our new friends we’ve met this year for being so awesome. We want to make sure 2012 is Okay Geek’s best year yet with more articles, the (soon to be) re-launched podcast and a slew of other fun things like E3 and more. Thanks for reading and Happy New Year!

Paul Christoforo won't quit "wwebsite as on the Internet-ing"

When Paul Christoforo unknowingly opened Pandora’s box in the shape of internet rage and viral campaigns against him, I don’t truly believe that he thought it was going to do any permanent damage to his persona, either professional or personall IRL. Well, even after becoming the freshest meme to hit the webs, as well as even getting poked at humorously by even Geico’s twitter staff, you think he would’ve learnt his lesson, right? Word off the street is that’s far from the truth, and he’s holding N-Control’s email addresses, domains, and even replying as others accounts to customer emails. — More after the break!

Rumor - Nintendo eyeing app store for Wii U, their OWN app store

Right when we thought we had Nintendo figured out something like this comes along and throws a wrench into the gears of the machine. Apparently, the big N isn’t just thinking about it, but they’re steathly creating a repository of apps for an upcoming app store to go along with the Wii U’s tablet like design. Well, this changes things up a bit. — More after the break!

Photojojo Easy Macro Cell Lens Band review

The camera on the new iPhone 4S truly brings cellphone photography to new heights and as a result, many companies are manufacturing camera accessories for it. A while back, we reviewed a couple of adapter lenses from Photojojo and now they’re back with a new macro lens that appears to be compatible with more phones in the form of a rubber band. How well does the concept play out in actual use? — Our full review, and camera samples, after the break!

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 gets reveal trailer and interview -- (Video)

When Sonic 4 was first shown off and teased by SEGA over two years ago, there was a lot of excitement, anticipation, but most of all, dread in the not knowing how the game would turn out. Episode 1 came and went, and frankly, it wasn’t all that. Sonic Generations has since been released and fans have been wanting more of that Classic Sonic style gameplay seen in that title, and it’s apparent through this interview that we’re going to be seeing a lot of changes made in Episode 2 when it finally launches sometime in 2012.
